That is what pen said about spellotape! Good luck with digging!

Well, I think we should continue digging by ourselves, we'd all be proud we did it. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif ALT=":D] Though that doesn't exclude contributing to Wikipedia also.
Avada, Spellotape is what Ron used to tape his wand when it broke in CoS. Right? I seem to remember it was only "papier collant". If anyone finds a right translation, though, that'd be just fine.
I shall always decide not to decide, unless of course I decide to change my mind.

Yes Miss Teigne is actually Mrs Norris! I'm sorry!
I'm going to check out the sites you listed but now we have a very nice list of things!
I though of some new stuff but I don't have my list with me, I'll tell you them tomorrow!
No way...

By all means, let's keep digging.
I saw Wikipedia and thought that we could use it both as a source of information and as a way to share our findings with others.
I'm sure it will be great on the new site. Plus it will be the work of people here.
I'll enquire a bit more about how to make contributions on Wikipedia. I had a demonstration by one of my professors and in one minute she had made a change to a site. It looked extremely simple so I'm sure it won't be a problem for all of you computer whizzes.

- Howler - Urlatoare
- Invisibility Cloak - Pelerina Invizibilitatii
- Marauders' Map - Harta Strengarilor
- Bouncing Bulbs - Bulbi de Bobotuburi

Definitely continue digging guys! I can't contribute much but I love what we're doing here.
There was one thing I thought of though. We have all these wonderful book covers but they're all the children's covers. What about the adult covers? Should we look for them too?

Hi, i checked, indeed Spellotape is only translated by " papier collant" and that is why i didn t remember it : the translation as lost the magical meaning.
I have seen 2things wrong in the french translation :
nearly headlees nick : Nick Quasi-Sans-Tête. (and not nick quas sans tête)
and i had a really good laught with the other one
defense against the dark art : défense contre les forces du mal ( and not défense des forces du mal, because that means that you protect the dark art lol

[quote]There was one thing I thought of though. We have all these wonderful book covers but they're all the children's covers. What about the adult covers? Should we look for them too?

Um, well, Mugglenet has a whole archive of covers all arranged already. It's complete with the adult and special editions covers from 44 countries in total, if I counted them right. There's no use to look for them further I guess.

Avada: what would I do without you?! Thanks for seing my mistakes!
Anyway, that's why I couldn't find spellotape because it wasn't really translated in French! Just "papier collant". I was searching for a magic word . I suppose they just didn't find anything "magic" and decided to do the easiest!

Hi all, tables are up to date.
Lara, thanks for catching spelling and capitalization mistakes. Apparently, I've been misspelling Seamus Finnigan's last name (typically spell it Finnegan--too much James Joyce). Paddy also says she misspelled Sleekea zy's hair potion, so I've corrected that as well.
Lara, you asked about Professor Flitwick's first name, Filius. JK revealed this on her website, so it's not in the books. Also, Madam Puddifoot is in OotP; she the owner of the teashop Harry and Cho go to on Valentine's Day. Should be chapter 25, The Beetle at Bay.
*now to my pillow*
