Hi, I am new here... First post, hope its successful.

I just reread GOF for the third time, looking closely at details. It came to my attention, during the Triwizard Tournament after Cedric is killed, and LV talks of the Death Eaters. He tells of those that didnt show up when the Dark Mark was summoned on all the scars previous followers of LV.

He mentions those that were killed under his honor, those in Azkaban, and he speaks of one who forever betrayed him, or better worded, left.

I think its decently approved to assume that one "death eater" is Snape.

How is LV going to handle him? He says he will be killed.

Anyone else see this as a huge clue for whats to come?

My personal idea is that Harry will be dueling LV once again, Snape will come to the rescue (fairly assuming they are on good terms at this point) and could possibly die for Harry, if not from LV's own revenge he longs to seek on Snapes so called "betrayal".

Hmmm just my mind clicking!

Hi HPaddict28. Welcome to Immeritus!

We've discussed Snape and the Death Eaters before - check this thread. It might also be a good idea to check First stop for Newbies and Info you need, they will help you on your way around the boards.

Since the above link leads to some ezboard thread which is no longer in existance, I will go ahead and post my reply here.

I agree with you, HPaddict. I too believe that in the final book Harry will be battling Voldemort and something's going to happen and Voldemort's going to be so close to killing Harry when Snape will come to the rescue. This act will surprise Voldemort a bit but give Harry just enough time to finish Voldemort off. Of course, Snape will die in the process and I will cry for days on end. (I'm such a Snape fan!) But that's pretty much exactly what I think is going to happen. Glad to know that I am not the only one that thinks that. Smile

Willow, I think the thread Emma meant is this one: The three mystery death eaters
It's a discussion about the death eaters missing in the circle at the Graveyard. If you read through this thread, you'll see that Snape isn't necessarily one of the three death eaters Voldy talks about. It's a very interesting discussion, I recommend reading through the whole thread, even though it is 10 or so pages long.

Two other threads about Snape can be found here: The Potions Master and Analysing Severus Snape

I hope this helped and have fun reading around!

The links Emma used were valid when she posted in December last year but we've moved since then. Thanks Paddy for reposting the links. As this topic is indeed being discussed elsewhere I am going to close this thread.
