Giant pokes with a large and pointy garden hoe to:

Rain - for ruining my day in town today

School for forcing us to wander round town and take environmental surveys for geography. Let me tell you this, we did NOT look cool walking through town clutching clipbpoards. Baah.

Starbucks - for making my best friend ill with their food. Okay, so it may have been something else, but for lack of anyone else to blame, the pokes lie with Starbucks.

My computer - for momentarily crashing in the middle of my favourite Libertines song

My room for being so cold

My friend who ate my dessert - AGAIN!

A crazy homeless drunk man who accosted me brandishing his bottle. I ran away.

The wind for nearly knocking me off my bike and blowing my skirt up on the way to school...it was NOT funny (no matter what you say, Pip)

<span style="color:teal;font-family:verdana;font-size:xx-small;]Voldy took out his wand and made a couple of big boxes appear out of thin air. He began unpacking the contents, which were revealed to be black T-shirts with a Dark Mark printed as an emblem on the front and the words 'I'm with Voldy, he's the man!' on the back.

'I got a few extra shirts after equipping the Death Eaters, and thought you guys would want some.' He said picking up a shirt and throwing it to Snape.

'Whoa, way cool!' Snape giggled like a schoolgirl and hurried to put the shirt on.

<span style="color:navy;font-family:verdana;font-size:xx-small;]"Jaragorn?" Star asked. "Who's that?"

"Not that, silly," Sirius chided her gently. "That's just Aragorn and Jasmine - they're so close together that the writing has overlapped."

Pokes to those Bush supporters outside my school with their signs and throwing rocks and paper and stuff at everyone.

Stupid drivers who can't figure out how to switch lanes.

Traffic jams and the idiots who cause them.

Sims for taking up waaay too much space on my computer and out of my "life."

Halloween, for coming too soon when we still have to much to do.

Hackers because they annoy me to no end.

Insomnia, I like sleeping but I can never actually fall asleep!

Bad weather for killing Comcast's signal and making me sit around with nothing to do.

Fast food restaurants for making me eat so much and get fat and sick. I ate way too much!

The cold that's going around because now I'm catching it!

Ivan for being so mean to my buddies

My stalker because she scares me

Anything that I have to do but don't want to.

My back, knees, fingers, shoulders, and lips for hurting so much.

Now time to snap some more people!

*Grabs Trident: The Uber-Pitchfork!*

*pokes* THE WEATHER!: Why did it have to be all rainy and windy, today of all days? I can't go bungee jumping now, which I have been arranging for months! *cries*

*pokes* my alarm clock: for being set on the classic music station...how, in the name of bumfluff, did that happen?

*pokes* Pro-foxhunters: Get over it! It is a callous and evil sport. And all the violence just shows how unstable and violent you really are. Blah!

*pokes* The weather: it needs MAJOR poking!

*pokes* Chemistry, Bio and Maths homework (and teachers): It's a long weekend for Gods sake! Particular enthusiasm on WEEKEND! Hence the lack of school, but yet, we get numerous abouts of homework which will take a whole day to do.Grrr....

*pokes* EBAY!: It alone is responsibe for my depleting funds. Why does everything have to be so pretty?

*pokes* The weather: It needs done.

...Done? Yes, for now. Right then, I'm off back to my bed.

*pokes* the parents sodding alarm clock: Could it be any louder?

POKES!

To people who don't read the paper but rely on Fox News etc. for "unbiased" information.

To people who honestly never question what other people tell them, instead relying on how they "feel" about something as the ultimate truth.

To Bush and Co. for just being evil incarnate and preying on people's fears in order to push their agenda for personal gain.

*reiterates pincey's pokes*

Also, pokes go to the fax machine computer at work that up and died the one day that I came in early to catch up on things that fell behind, leaving me spending the entire morning reinstalling Windows (on the second hard-drive) and praying that the files on the original hard drive weren't corrupted and could be retrieved, and causing me to fall further behind on the work.

Pokes again to the one person who thinks that it is proper business behavior to call, hang up and call again immediately, over and over and over and over (and just when you think I'm done) AND OVER until one of us, who is in the middle of a project that we didn't want to be distracted from, is now so frustrated and distracted that we have to answer the phone. But we don't have to do it nicely. (We know who you are too, dear, have you ever wondered if that's why we don't answer?)

Pokes to the new regime at my alma mater's radio station. They're sucking the life out of WTSR by making it sound like standard commercial garbage.

*also reiterates pincey's pokes (please note new siggie)*

*pokes*

To my University's football players, who can't catch simple passes, but still think they're cool because they have somehow managed to win 2 games out of our first 3.

To people who think I must be a flag just because I'm female and in marching band. No, you stupid loser, I can be female and marching trumpet player!

To my friends for going to college in far away places.

To squirrels, who I believe must be in league with the evil monkeys (see my "Funny but True Stories" post)

To having to shave. So annoying. *shakes head sadly*

To peeling sunburns.

To not having sunglasses, which caused my eyes to hurt all day on Saturday.

To the cold I think I'm coming down with. Which really sucks.

Hmmm I wouldn't normally bother but since the whole thread has me is hysterics i feel to obliged to poke.

*grabs-never-before-seen-cosmic-pitchfork*. My first poke goes to the annoying tele sales people who constantly phone the house number trying to sell goodness know's what and disturbing my sleep (dont mess with NRH's sleep especially if it's about new window's or insurance) *turns cosmic pitchfork to highest setting*.

Next poke goes to ....well its a double poke *turns setting down a bit* first all fanfic writer's for not being quick to get all chapter's up of their stories as soon as possible it drive's me crazy but they of exceptional level so just a half poke, and the other person who gets the rest of the double whammy is J K Rowling herself all I need is a date for HBP and my life will mean something this is worse than vodka and blue powerade (which is the most awful drink ever I kid you not!.

Third and final poke goes to myself for having no ambition to move from where I am to where I should be!

Wow I feel alot better and my cosmic pitchfork is smiling sweet!

Woo, anti-snaps! I heartily anti-poke the idea, if that makes any form of sense whatsoever. *pokes above sentence*

Pokes to my village, for not having such a thing as red wrapping paper in the whole of it. What's a girl making origami cranes for Tree meant to do? Eh? Silly village.

Pokes to Aeroflot (despite the fact that I also just snapped them) because they have zilch customer service. It's fantastic; Communist air hostessing.

Example:

Aeroflot steward: Tea or coffee?

Eric (my friend): Coffee please (Eric has yet to see the light regarding tea)

Aeroflot steward pours coffee and hands it over.

Eric: Can I have some milk please?

Aeroflot steward: You should have said so earlier.

Er, hello? Usually a) they offer you 'milk?' anyway and b) what happened to 'the customer is always right'?. AND they were two hours late, AND they charged us £180 excess baggage (that's over $300), AND the quality of pilots is such that they applaud when the plane lands, as if this is an unusual feat and the pilot has done well to get this far. *sigh* But they do know a good movie when they see one.

Pokes to Indian airports that make you queue for an hour and a half between 2.45 and 4.15am at immigration to LEAVE the country. Surely they shouldn't care who leaves the country, it's who comes in they worry about. Maybe it's a forward outpost for American Immigration control, which still wins the title of Most Paranoid Immigration Authority Ever.

And mini-pokes (since I don't want to invoke the ire of all you Anglophiles out there) to England for being cold, wet, windy and miserable. Apparently last week the weather was gorgeous, but as soon as I step back on its soil, it goes icky again. Though I should go and snap England too for containing Earl Grey Tea, something that the whole of India apparently does not. Approximate volume of tea consumed since arrival back in England: 5 litres and growing.

Known aliases: Norus, Norlet, Norletta, Norusinerus, Norwich, Norway, Normandy... and Manuel and Squeff.

Bless you, Eru, for starting this thread! Why did it take me so long to find it?

POKES* construction traffic when I need to get to work, making me sit in my own hometown for 45 minutes causing me to cancel class and have to rearrange my class's syllabus. Grr!! Block the non-traffic at night!!

* the inventor of the very pointy shoes that are annoyingly coming back into fashion. They're not comfortable; what are you thinking??

* puts on pair of said pointy shoes and jumps in w/Pincey* Stupid FOX News! Fair and balanced my foot--take that poke...and that one!

* CBS News for being dumb and not tracking their sources authenticity OR for caving under scrutiny and political pressure. Either way, poke poke poke poke poke!

* migraine headaches for giving me earaches, making me sensitive to sound (TV volume currently on 4 out of 63 and it hurts!), and now making me nauseous.

* my brother for being thoughtless and hurting my parents' feelings. Dumb dumb *poke poke poke*

* my own professor for assigning this Virginia Woolf paper

* myself (OW!) for letting self-doubt about writing good paper on Virginia Woolf make me put it off for so long

Aahh! I feel better. Thanks!
