Who wronged Sirus the Most: Bella, Kreacher, Wormtail, Dumbedore, or Harry?



This is the thread where you sign up to pick a side. You can pick (as is obvious from above) Bella, Kreacher, Wormtail, or Harry. Think hard as to which you want, as you will be debating heatedly to defend you view.

Before you can actually post in the debate forum, you must post here as to which side you want to argue, and you must be approved.

The debate will start, hopefully, next week, depending on if we have enough people on each side of the debate



Ok, we still don't have enough people for the debate, so we will will wait a bit longer for people to show up. As of today (june 24), these are who are participating, and on which sides:

Wormtail: Madam pudifoot, Aoife, Sirius lives in my eyes, Dimgwrthien, WEASEL,



Bella: Nor, siriusmyhero, grey screen, Gretchy Stretchy

Tentatively Sirius: Mrs T Norris, Lucky MO





As the way it looks right now, we will not be accepting anymore people for Wormtail (unless we get a lot more people for the other sides...)

Hmm, debating huh? Sounds fun, I'm not sure if I'm all that great at it but I wouldn't mind trying.



Exactly how do we get approved? (Just need to clear it up so I don't say something stupid, not that I probably haven't already.)



Well anyways if I'm allowed to join then I'd have to pick Wormtail. I've thought about it and I'm willing to defend my opinion.



(I hope it takes place in the evening though, can't do it otherwise.)

The debate will be ongoing. We may set a final date later, but for now, don't worry about that.



When you sign up, you are stating that you will be an active participant in the discussion and will try to post at least once a day. I know it isn't always possible, but the more back and forth we have, the better the debate will be. Nothing's worse than a debate that lags between replies and rebuttals.



In terms of approval, we just want to see that you know how to communicate effectively. If you resort to netslang, abbreviations, smilies, and the like (things that we look down upon in the other threads anyway), we will decline your acceptance into the debate.

Oh, I see well if that's the case then I'm sure I'll be able to post once a day. I visit several times a day as it is. I don't think I use smileys too often, (unless I'm excited.) and I have no idea if you guys think I can communicate effectively. Although, I can't really post long replies so that might not help much. Hmm... i would go with the kind of obvious choice and pick Wormtail, but so many people have already sided with him. So, I'll be on Kreacher's side. I can't seem to find enough to support either Bella or Harry for tons of wrongdoings... so yes,



Kreacher's side of having most-wronged Sirius!

Well I wanted to argue Wormtail also, but it seems that side is gettinga little crowded? I can definately post once a day though.

That's the spirit, Chibi. I would advise everyone not to lump all on one side, but to choose something you can defend and that might even it all out. Just because you think maybe Peter really did the worst doesn't mean you can't propose an argument against Harry, persay. All have points.

Hmmm, I don't see anyone signing up with the claim that Harry wronged Sirius... This is the position I would take.



I'd really like to join, and if there aren't very many folks who choose Harry, I'll join the Debate, as I am re-reading OotP... And hey, my term is over in a week.

Hi!



Im new to this site and everything but I love a great debate.



My problem is picking a side right off the bat. For me a debate is made so that people can influence eachother and possible change peoples perspectives, etc. So I'm having some trouble really deciding on what side to debate on.



The topic is a very tangled one, and I would relaly love to talk about everything. Does one have to pick a side in order to participate? Or can people come in and support a cause after the debate has already started?



If I had to pick a side... I suppose it would be that Kreature did the worst to Sirius. But then again, I think everyone messed up. Which is why I guess its so tragic. So many things that could have been prevented, etc.



If Im allowed to be in the debate that would be great! If not I will read along with interest and try to duct tape my hands to my desk so I odn't just jump in.

Hello! I would like to jin my first debate here.



I'll be against Peter.



To Peter Pettigrew: Nothing against you or Peter, but he was the first 'villian' character for Sirius. To be nice, I'll compliment Peter. Peter seems to have been a nice, sweet kid.

Definately Wormtail, maybe Harry (He never really understood Sirius, or maybe I am expecting too much after all he is just a 15 year boy), yeah definately wormtail.

There are way too many people on Peter's side, and I am not sure we will be able to accomodate so many. No more sign-ups for Peter please. We need debaters on the other sides as well.

How I wish I could participate... Anyway, it will be fun reading people's opinion on this.

Come on guys, there has to be someone that blames Bella, Kreacher or Harry! Where are you, no one will think less of you for sharing your opinion.

Although, if I where to participate, I would blame Dumbledore...
