In honor of the holidays, we will be organizing a gift exchange across the fic, poetry and art forums, both here in the family-friendly section and in the restricted section. All board members may participate. You must have access to the restricted section to participate there.

The Gifts

Gifts may be Art (including photography and digitally-based work such as original wallpapers), Poems or Fic. They may include Fandom Crossovers (LOTRxHP) and AU pieces.

You do not have to create the same form of gift as you request. We will do our best to match people according to their wishes.


How it works:

Sign-ups begin today and continue through 1 December. You may sign up for both the family-friendly exchange and the restricted section exchange. If you sign up for the restricted section exchange, you will be expected to create a restricted section piece.

In order to sign up, you should post below for the family-friendly version.

I will not write Snape. I prefer to avoid anything really dark. I can't write femmeslash.

If your assigned mod does not have your exchange information before 2 December, you will be dropped from the exchange.

Creating your Gift

After sign-ups close, we will distribute assignments.

You will have until 21 December to create your gifts.

The assignments will be completely anonymous. The moderators will be posting the gifts in order to maintain this secrecy until the end of the exchange (date TBD - it depends on how many entries we get!).

Please email your gifts to your assigned Mod by 21 December. Emails are available on the mod's profile page.

While creating, do your best to fulfill your recipient’s wishes. If you have any questions, please PM them to your assigned Mod. If you are unsure about a pairing or situation, err on the side of caution.

Please note, as with other swaps, once you sign up you are obligated to participate. You will be receiving a gift, so it is only fair that you reciprocate. However, if you have a dire situation where you will not be able to complete your piece on-time, PLEASE PM one of the mods immediately. We will find someone to replace you.

We are also looking for volunteers to create an extra gift if someone does drop out. Please PM us if you think you could do so.

Posting the work:

The Creative Forum Mods will begin posting the gifts on 22 December. Shortly after the last piece is posted, the master list will be revealed. Please refrain from posting your gifts elsewhere until after the master list is announced.

Wonderful job on both fics, mystery authors. I loved the traditional antics the Marauders were up to in Peevela. It was good to see the boys could manage to laugh during troubled times in True Happiness. Well done!

ETA:Libera Delicia is just so cute. (Except for the anyone snogging Filch part, ) It's nice to see that even such a grand guy as Sirius gets just as nervous as everyone else sometimes.

*huge massively uber hugs of love* To my Mystery Writer!!!!!!!!! I can't even begin to say what my favorite part is- although I do l-o-v-e the Victoria's Secret scene entirely! Everyone was just hilarious, the bantering was love, and the items they purchased had me giggling for so long! I'm still laughing! *tries to calm down enough to write a civil review* Whoever you are, I can't thank you enough!

Exploring the Mall was hilarious. It's really nice to see something with all four Marauders now and again. Their characterizations were wonderful. I especially loved their reactions to being told how much they owed and that Remus had already done the conversion calculations in his head.

OMWORD!!!!!! I LOVED Peevella! I was dying when I read it! I'm still laughing! It was hilarious. I love my fic gift and thanks a MILLION to my secret little santa fic writer!

1 more 2-part comment; firstly, without saying too much, I was indeed correct in my guess for who I was writing for, and secondly- I hope whoever you are ( ), you aren't having too much of an easy time guessing- although I'll admit I do seem to give myself away with my writing style.
