Film News Half Blood Prince Relase Moved to Summer 2009
Posted by magicalobizuth on Thursday, August 14, 2008 (22:01:40) (859 reads)

HPANA has alerted us to a significant change in our autumn schedules...

Half Blood Prince release has been moved to July 17, 2009.

Quote::
Our reasons for shifting Half-Blood Prince to summer are twofold: we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment. Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers’ strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films—changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move Half-Blood Prince to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.

The push will not affect the release of the Deathly Hallows films. Bottom line is how much money can they pull out of the movie franchise before it is over. Razz

TLC is reporting information that MTv found out about a character that was too important to leave out of the upcoming Order of the Phoenix film. After checking out the script for the film, JK Rowling told director Yates:
Quote::
‘Listen guys, you don’t have to put [xxx] back, but I’m just telling you, if you want to kind of keep a thread going for six and seven, you might want [xxx] to come back.’

So, just who is this [xxx] character? If you are ready, read more to find out!
